It’ll be a reunion of sorts when actress Farah Fath returns to NBC’s “Days of our Lives” under the penmanship of her former “One Life to Live” head writer, Ron Carlivati.

Fath is set to reprise her role as Mimi Lockhart on the daytime drama series later this year for what the actress calls “a handful of episodes.”

News of her return was first sparked by a since-deleted Instagram post by co-star Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Rogers), who is also returning full-time to the soap later this year. In the picture (shown below) published yesterday, Fath is seen sitting in hair and makeup preparing to film upcoming scenes.

“Wow! Getting so many nice messages,” revealed Fath in a post on Twitter. “Thank you all for being excited, I’m excited too! It’s been real fun so far. So good to see everyone and play. #MimiReturns #Days”

Since leaving “DAYS” in March 2007, Fath went on to portray Gigi Morasco on “OLTL” from 2007-2012, alongside former real-life beau John-Paul Lavoisier (ex-Rex Balsom). Ironically, Lavoisier later took on the role of Mimi’s former love interest, Phillip Kiriakis, on “DAYS” before completing his run in December 2016.
